One of my favorite gifts for my girls is a little personal. I learned from a friend a few years back to make yearbooks for each kiddo. Just a book filled with photos of her and her friends... just her stuff from that year. Just for her. That same friend also does a family book each year (just the highlights), and a book for each trip they take. I’m not a scrapbooker. I can barely keep up with printing photos, so this book thing is great for me! This year I've used Shutterfly and the new system over there makes it so easy. You just put all of the photos you want to use in a folder, upload them to Shutterfly and there is an option you can choose where they will do all of the work for you!
